Communities in the NWT are required under their Act to have a procedural by-law. The procedural by-law often outlines how the minutes are to be taken, by whom, and what happens to them after they are created and approved.

This course gives you everything you need know to start taking minutes for your community's council meetings and others, such as committee meetings. The five self-directed modules in this course will take you about an hour and a half to complete, but you may complete it at your own pace.
