This webinar is an information and awareness presentation that will introduce you to and describe the “Land Transfer Initiative” offered by the GNWT. All communities own and maintain community infrastructure which help to provide services to their residents.
Services like water delivery, sewage pick-up, road maintenance, emergency response (fires) and recreation to name a few.
In many cases the land on which these community assess are located is still owned by the GNWT.
This webinar will describe a process already in place to help communities acquire these parcels of land in fee simple.
